Rice Dish


Cube one cup of beef and three chicken breasts. Add four cups of water to a pot followed by one large minced onion, thyme to taste, the beef, the chicken and two tablespoons of butter. Cover and bring this mixture to a boil. Add a quarter cup of tomato paste and stir. Add salt to taste and then add two cups of rice. Cover and let come to a boil then lower the heat under the pot and let cook until done. Add a can of mixed vegetables to the finished rice dish and also add approximately one quarter of a can of cut green beans.


Fruit and Pudding Dish


Mix a cup of Jello instant pudding. Add vanilla wafers to the bottom of a small bowl. Cover this with a layer of fruit cocktail. Cover the fruit cocktail with a layer of the mixed instant pudding. Start over with another layer of vanilla wafers etc. Sprinkle on some shredded coconut and add kiwi fruit and some cherries for decoration. You can also add some whipped cream to top this off.


Salad


You can make whatever kind of salad you choose to complete this ten-minute buffet.
Ingredients

4 cups water

1 onion

thyme to taste

1 cup diced meat

1 cup diced chicken

2 tbsp butter

vanilla wafers

instant pudding mix

1 can fruit cocktail

1/4 cup tomato paste

salt to taste

2 cups rice

shredded coconut

kiwi for decoration

whipped topping

1 can mixed veg.

1/4 can green beans
