July 16 - July 20

 

Thursday - Day Five Knowing that we have the next six nights in two different hotels and seeing that we are having such a great time staying here with Derek and Trish, we decide to stay in today and enjoy the house and Trish's company. Derek has gone out to do a job and David's flight left at six-thirty this morning. We laze around in the morning doing not much of anything but checking our mail, updating the web pages, downloading more pictures from both the video and digital cameras and doing the last bit of laundry. Nico had thought of going out to do some shopping but decided that she will wait until we get back into Canada so that we can avoid that pesky exchange rate. In the afternoon we sit outside and have a nice lunch and chat about many things Bahamian. It's still surprisingly cool for summer and we wonder how long it will last especially since we are heading north from here. Derek comes back shortly after three and we decide to go for a walk. It's a long nice walk and Nico regrets that she left the camera at home. Peri, a friend of Derek and Trish, comes over for dinner and we sit and have another interesting conversation. After we eat, Greg & Christina come by and we say goodbye to them and we spend the rest of the time talking to Peri about what Camera would be the best for her to get. It's a gift she is getting from someone and she is trying to find out what would suit her needs. Peri It's going to be an early night for us because we plan to be on the road at six in the morning. We plan to make a stop for breakfast and then drive back into Canada for the majority of the rest of our trip. Derek and Trish's House The Wine Cellar
